Application for Permanent Resident Permit for Foreigner -Depending on Relative

I. Requirement
    Depending on relative
    The foreigner that has no direct relative in his motherland, is coming to China to depend on his direct relative of no less than 18 years old, is no less than 60 years old, has lived in China for 5 continuous years (live in China no less than 9 months every year) and has stable living security and residence, obeys laws of China, enjoys good health, and does not create any criminal records may apply for thePermanent Resident Permit for Foreigner .

II. Materials
    Depending on relative
    1. Photocopy of valid passport (the original copy shall be presented);
    2. The notarized certificate of no direct relative for the dependent; 
    3. Notarized retirement pension certificate of the dependent or the financial security certificate of the person on whom the dependent will depend (the certificate proving the person on whom the dependent will depend has a disposable possession equivalent to over 10 years of deposit based on the monthly minimum living security payment in Beijing at the time of accepting and handling the application, or can get an monthly individual income no less than the forgoing monthly minimum living security payment in 5 years after the application is accepted);    
    4. Certificate of no criminal records in the associated foreign country;
    5. The Health Certificate issued by Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau or the Health Certificate issued by the competent foreign medical establishment and verified by the Chinese embassy and consulate stationing in the associated foreign country (the Health Certificate must be within 6 months before the application);
    6. The photocopies of the ID card and residence booklet of the Chinese citizen on whom the dependent will depend (the original copies shall be presented);
    7. The photocopies of the passport and the Permanent Resident Permit for Foreigner of the person on whom the dependent will depend (the original copies shall be presented);
    8. The  notarized relative-relationship certificate; 
    9. The notarized dependent or the house lease or property certificate of the relative on whom the dependent will depend;
    10. Four 2-in.recent bareheaded full-length light-blue-background photochromes showing the full faces;
    11. Other necessary certificates.

Remarks:
    1. All certificates issued by the foreign authorities shall be verified by the Chinese embassy and consulate stationing in the associated country;
    2. All materials in the foreign language shall be translated into Chinese by the nominated translation agency; 
    3. All photocopies shall be of A4 format and in duplicate.
