Requirements for Applying for L Visa by Individual Foreigners

1. The permits, like Frontier Pass, etc.,  for the persons going to Shenzhen and Zhuhai Special Administrative Region as per the recommendation letter shall be invalided. Such permit gotten by virtue of the Resident Identification Card and Temporary Residential Permit shall be valid for one year at most. The male citizens older than 60 and female citizens older than 55 may enter Shenzhen and Zhuhai Special Administrative Region by virtue of their Resident Identification Card.
2. The local employees and the employees s from other provinces that have lived in Beijing temporarily for over one year of the enterprises,  all the civilian-run corporates and private corporates without HR and Security Department, the person and the local unemployed people shall not get the Application for Frontier Administrative Region Pass any more, and shall apply for  L visa by virtue of their Resident Identification Card and Temporary Residential Permit;  
3. Local employees, and local employees and the employees s from other provinces that have lived in Beijing temporarily for over one year of the central and state organs, Beijing offices of the provincial people’s governments, municipal state organs, social organizations, enterprises and public institutions with a security and HR department shall apply for L visa by virtue of their Resident Identification Card and Temporary Residential Permit as well as Application for Frontier Administrative Region Pass.

    Any residents meeting the requirements for entering the frontier regions and needing a frontier pass may directly go to the competent municipal (county) administration in the place where their census registers (temporary residential permits) were issued or their corporates exist,  to apply for and get the frontier pass on the spot by filling Application for Frontier Administrative Region Pass.
