Main responsibilities

    (I) Implement tourism-related laws, regulations, rules and policies of the state and the city; formulate tourism development program and planning, and organize the corresponding implementation.
    (II) Responsible for formulating and organizing the implementation of tourism market development plan; participating in the external publicity and significant activities for promoting overall image of Beijing tourism, organizing tourism image publication and promotion activities in the district; strengthening tourism district cooperation and improve the cross-district tourism cooperation system.
    (III) Responsible for organizing tourism resources censor, plan, development and related protection works in this district; guiding the planning and development of key tourism areas, tourist destinations and tourist routes; organizing the development of traditional tour and sightseeing; organizing the promotion of modern city tourism, leisure vacation, business exhibition and other high-end tourism development; coordinate and guide the holiday tourism and rural tourism; monitor the tourism economic operation and take in charge of tourism statistics, analysis and industry information release.
    (IV) Take in charge of the tourism market order standardization, service quality supervision and management, tourism consumers and operators’ lawful rights and interests safeguard; standardize business behavior of tourism enterprises and service behavior of service personnel; responsible for organizing and implementing the standards for tourism area, tourism facilities, tourism services, tourism product and other aspects; and supervising and inspecting the corresponding implementation situation, responsible for the management of hotel industry; and responsible for the travel agency supervision and management in this district in accordance with authority level.
    (V) Responsible for organizing the implementation of tourism public service facilities construction in this district; handling the tourist complaints, supervising and urging the inspection on complaint handling by tourism enterprise; guiding the spiritual civilization and credit system construction of tourism industry.
    (VI) Take in charge of tourism security supervision and management in this district, responsible for comprehensive coordination, supervision and management of tourism security; formulating and organizing the implementation of tourism emergency response plan and drill plan, organizing and coordinating the emergency rescue work.
    (VII) Responsible for the talent work of the district and the formulation of tourism talents plan under the leadship of talent work leading group of the district; responsible for implementing the standard for professional qualification and level of tourism service personnel in accordance with the laws, Establishing and improving the tourism service personnel training and education mechanism, strengthening tourism workers training.
    (VIII) Undertake other tasks assigned by the District Government.
