    Tongzhou has a long history, rich cultural heritage.It was built in the Western Han Dynasty, dating back more than 2200 years of history.And since history, Tongzhou has always been Jingdong traffic arteries, water transport, warehousing powerhouse,which used to be the tremendously popular Royal Docks. There are many  scenic spots and historical sites in this area, such as Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Qianlong Okimichi monument, Zhangjiawan ancient ruins, Enlightening Buddha stupa, Three- Religion Temple, converging Dough figurine soup, a large windmill, Jingdong drums and other characteristics of folk art, and giving birth to the long history of the canal culture.
    Well known as its outstanding people and smart land Tongzhou cultivated and attracted a number of celebrity of culture such as Gao Zhanxiang, Liu Baiyu, Liu Shaotang, Huang Yong Yu, Feng Yong, Han Meilin etc. World-famous Chinese SongZhuang gathered more than 5,000 well-known contemporary original artists, forming the largest community of the original artists of the country, injecting into unique soul and vitality for Tongzhou New City.
