Cultural Tourism Zone in Tongzhou, Beijing

    Tongzhou is planning to construct theme parks in combination of Chinese traditional culture and modern fashion elements to develope tourism,leisure and entertainment industries. The region covering a total area of ​​approximately 12.05 square kilometers is located to the north of Beijing-Haerbin Expressway (former Beijing-Shenyang Expressway),the west of the Sixth Ring Road. The region intends to introduce world-renowned theme parks, entertainment and other industrial projects, making it become a tourist center in Northeast Asia which surpasses Tokyo Disneyland, Lotte World in Seoul.It is expected to attract about 8 million to 14 million tourists. Tongzhou intends to focus on the development of cultural tourism industry in combination of traditional culture and modern elements, making the Metro enhance tourism and leisure functions, aggregating cultural functions, improving the function of important   consumer space.
